The Founder
Jabirah Anike Bada is a prominent Nigerian disability advocate, tech enthusiast, and the founder of Chromosome Champions, a specialized disability learning platform focused on Down syndrome awareness.
Growing up with a brother with Down Syndrome taught her two things at once: the challenges he faces, and the extraordinary brilliance in his sweet, determined spirit.
Watching her mother pour her time, love, and resources into giving him the best life possible broke her heart to think of families with Down Syndrome who do not have that same access to information, therapy, and support.
That was her compelling reason to provide every child with Down syndrome the chance to thrive and not just the privileged few.
Chromosome Champions: creates educational content to dispel deep-rooted cultural myths and superstitions surrounding Down syndrome in Nigeria
As a public speaker, Jabirah speaks out against the "culture of shame" and societal stigma that often forces families to hide children with genetic disorders.
Jabirah a recognized rising adolescent leader in the tech and inclusion space, who was selected as a guest speaker for the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA). She has many Media Appearances where she frequently shares her insights on national media platforms, such as The Morayo Show.
She is supported by a team of highly inspired and dedicated workers and volunteers who share in the vision of ChromosomeChampions
